This very old church had been built on the remains of a pagan temple or close to it, as provedi t in two epigraphs seen by Giacomo Filippo Tommasini, Bishop of Novigrad (1640.-1655.). Nowdays, the epigraphs are kept in the Maffeino Museum of Verona. The church was reconstructed in 1752. The church of St. Lawrence is a classic country building, equipped with a bell sail surmounted by a conical stone ornament with an iron cross. It has a rectangular form and belongs to the Istrian sacred monuments with semicircular apse.
